Condolence: We have all lost a very gracious beautiful woman. I miss afternoons at her house w/her homemade brownies. I taught Bert how to make shepherd's pie for a dinner party years ago and she loved the recipe. I would buy fancy costume jewelry and show Bert and we would try it on. What a bright light Bert showed in her life. She loved her Jonathan and his family with all her heart. I am sad for losing Bert but will be happy for knowing her for 17 yrs. Love, Sally

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers to Bert and her family. Bert was such a wonderful friend. She will be missed. While working at Vinson & Elkins she would host a birthday celebration each month. She would make a very large chocolate brownie cake and serve it. All would gather for the celebration and this was something she looked forward to each month. She was one classy lady. We will miss her dearly but know that she is no longer in pain. Rest in peace Bert. You have so many friends that loved you.

Condolence: Jonathan and Malini--Having known and loved you and your mother for many years makes this note special. Yes, she is with Jesus. Soon, Margaret and I will join her. Being in the middle of a seven month teaching of Heaven inspires me even more when thinking of Bert's residence. In time, you will join us. Your mother was a unique lady. Her personality drew people to her. When in a crowed room of people, she would be the center of attention. The rest of us were in the background. You, Jonathan, have that same characteristic. In fact, there are many traits in you that your mother had. Remember that. I know of no person who had so many friends. They all migrated to her bedside in the declining days. She found it difficult to relate to the girls. But she really did want to be close to themDriv. She loved you. Often, she told me in the past year, 'continue being a friend to Jonathan and his family. Make sure my son and his wife are always your friend'. In a way Jonathan, you are a Timothy to me, as he was to the Apostle Paul. Margaret and I love you.

Condolence: I worked with Bert at V&E Law Firm, and I must say it was a true pleasure to talk with her and get to know her. She always exuded gracefulness, sincerety, kindness and an unimaginable amount of effervescense. We will truly miss you, Bert, but you go to a much better place where there is no pain or suffering. Thanks for the memories.
