Obituary for Ralph Labiosa

Ralph Labiosa
Ralph Irvin Labiosa, beloved husband and father, passed away on January 25, 2018 after a short but hard fought battle with leukemia. Ralph was born on July 22, 1938 in Cheltenham, PA to Hedwig (Irvin) & Rafael Labiosa. After high school he attended Emory and Henry College in Emory, VA before enlisting in the US Army, where he was stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He settled in Hope Mills, NC and worked at Mueller Steam Specialty while raising his family. In 1999 Ralph & his wife Pat moved to Houston, TX where he worked as an Independent Sales Rep in the valve industry, before retiring to Sun City in Georgetown, TX. There, he enjoyed socializing with his new friends & neighbors, taking long walks and tooling around in his golf cart.

Ralph enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, researching genealogy, and he even raised orchids for a while. But other than spending time with family & friends, his biggest passion the last 25 years was riding his bike, whether it be around the neighborhood, the several MS150 charity rides he participated in over the years, or his long distance rides through New England & Arizona.

Ralph is survived by his wife Pat, sons Glenn & wife Carol, Bill & wife Rochelle, and Chip, daughters Linda & husband Wayne Melvin, and Lesa & husband Ralph Johnson, grandchildren Heather, Hannah, Joshua & Sophie, great-grandchildren, Jonathan & Raelyn, brother Tom & wife Anne Marie, sister Cheryl & husband Ted Hayes, numerous nieces & nephews, and many more relatives & friends. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on February 24, 2018 @ 2:00 pm at the Cowan Creek Amenity Center, 1433 Cool Spring Way, Georgetown, TX 78633. Those who desire may make memorial donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
