James Neal Zwerneman, 77, of Houston, Texas entered into eternal life on November 22, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jean Zwerneman; brothers Fred Zwerneman, and Bill Zwerneman and wife Patsy; sons Scottie Zwerneman and wife Pam, and Darrin Zwerneman and wife Margaret; daughters Debbie Holley and husband Doug, and Pam Kurtz and husband Steve; grandchildren Michael Holley, Haley Zwerneman, Phillip Kurtz, Tristin Zwerneman, Courtney Kurtz, and Zoe Zwerneman; great-grandson Mason Holley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. James is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and 2 sisters. James and Jean were married on March 28, 1986. They have been faithful members of Advent Lutheran Church for many years. James served his country in the US Coast Guard. He was a master carpenter who loved making furniture. He worked in the Texas Medical Center for 16 years until he retired in 2008. Pallbearers will be Stanley Zwerneman, Tristan Zwerneman, Michael Holley, Sid Kasper, Brent Zwerneman, Tyler Cassens, George Hurlock, and Terry Rodgers. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Haley Zwerneman and Zoe Zwerneman. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Advent Lutheran Church.
