Thelma Burton Lewis, 86, passed on to be with our Lord Friday, July 7, 2017 in Shenandoah, Texas. Mrs. Lewis is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Tommy Lewis, and her brother, R.V. Burton. She leaves behind her son, Jeff Lewis and wife Emily; son, Jay Lewis and his wife, Patty; son, Tim Lewis and his wife Beth; grandchildren, Sarah, Becca, David, Jax and Zoey.
Thelma was a very loving and Christian lady who, made the robe that was used for many years, for the Christmas Pageant Grand Finale at Houston’s First Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member for 60 years. She had a love for gardens and especially bright flowers. Known for her fried chicken, she loved to cook for her family. Thelma especially enjoyed her dinners at Landry’s with her husband, Tommy; and their trips together through the Hill Country, New Braunfels and to Alabama.
Thelma Burton Lewis will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
