Gladys Mae Morris Ohm, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Pearland. Born December 18, 1933 in Vernon, Texas to parents Marcus and Josephine Morris, Gladys will forever be remembered as the most caring and witty person who was loved by all who knew her. She was very creative with her crafts and as an artist. Mrs. Ohm was known for her cooking and most especially her peanut brittle and green enchiladas. Gladys worked 40-years at the Waddell-Wilson Animal Hospital and left a legacy for the love of animals. She was also a member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church.
Gladys is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Jerald. She leaves behind her daughter, Mona Kurthy and husband, Rick; her son, Mark Ohm and his wife, Patti; her grandson, Jeff Kurthy and his wife, Mia, and her granddaughter, Jamie Presley and her husband, James. In addition, numerous extended family members and friends are left behind to cherish her memories.
Services include a visitation from eleven o’clock in the morning until noon, Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be at the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
A devoted matriarch of the family, Gladys Mae Ohm will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
