Foy Douglas Farrar, 84, passed away February 17, 2017 and has finished his journey on this earth and is now on a greater journey. He was a “Heights” boy and attended John H. Reagan High School, class of ’51, U of H, and served four years in the United States Air Force. Doug loved Texas history and was a wanna-be chef, a gun enthusiast and a knife maker. He is survived by his loving wife of 65-years, Barbara Lee; his children, Larry and wife Trisha, Kenneth and his wife Barbie, and Shannon Davis and her husband Scott; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Michael, Kathryn and husband Chris, J.D. and husband Marvin, Rachel and husband Johnny, Adam and Andrew; great grandchildren, Emelia, Abigail, Marshall, Isabelle, and Penelope. Sisters-in-law Beverly Collins and husband Winston, and Yvonne Farrar. In addition, Douglas leaves behind many nieces, nephews and treasured friends. Per Mr. Farrar’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral. Accordingly, friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the family home on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10:00 am until noon.
