Rosa Emperatriz Lopez, 65, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Rosa was born on January 31, 1951, in Guatemala.
Rosa was known by her grandchildren as “Lela”, “Rosita” by some and “Paquita La Del Barrio” by her brother-in-law.
She is proceeded in death by her father Julio Lopez and two sisters Carolina Lopez and Norma Gramajo.
Rosa was a beautiful devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her mother Maria E. Lopez and her 4 children Claudia and Franklin Gramajo, Heydi Rodriguez and husband Jose Rivera, Astrid and husband Jose Coronado, and Jose Santos and wife Cristina Gutierrez; her nine grandchildren Claudia, Wendy, Norma, Franklin, Jasmine, Derrick, Cristian, Marc and Victoria.
Along with her surviving siblings Maribel and Roberto Mazariegos, Sonia and Wilfredo Padilla, Carmen and Jorge Maldonado, Julio Lopez, and Carlos Raul and wife Evelia Lopez, Patricia Lopez, Maricela Lopez, Cathy Wallace and Alfonso Gramajo and many nieces and nephews.
Rosa will be remembered for her kind, loving heart and her gift of laughter. Rosa enjoyed holidays with the family and cooking with her sisters.
Visitation for Rosa will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 5 - 9 P.M. And the Rosary will be at 6 P.M. at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1101 Antoine Dr. in Houston.
The Burial Service will be on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 9 A.M. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
