Obituary for Danny Frank Meyer

Danny Frank Meyer, 63, born August 18, 1953 in Houston, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 in Houston. Mr. Meyer is preceded in death by his father, Frank Meyer and brother, Terry Meyer.
Danny leaves behind his beloved wife of 30-years, Marianne Meyer; one son, Garrett Meyer and his mother, Irene Meyer. Moreover, Danny leaves behind a host of family and good friends.
Danny was a dedicated husband, father and son who loved the Lord and his family. Danny spent many years with Maryland Club Coffee, loved poker and enjoyed cooking barbeque for friends and family.
Mr. Meyer also had a love for all Houston sports including the Astros, Texans, and Rockets, and of course, the Houston Cougars, as his son Garrett will graduate with his Bachelor’s Degree in about two years.
Services include a visitation from 12 PM until 2 PM on Friday, September 30, 2016, and the funeral service beginning at 2 PM; all at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
The Reverend Andrew Roettjer of St. Mark Lutheran Church will officiate.
Pallbearers for the service are: Rodney and Ethan Walker; Brian and Willie Wimmer; Micah Brower and Danny Melcher.
