Ira Eugene Pine, 69, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Houston. A visitation is planned for Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from Nine O’clock until Eleven O’clock in the morning at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow promptly at Eleven O’clock with interment at the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Marjorie Pine, his brother, Gary Pine and sister, Mary Sue Vandever.
Ira is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Diane; one daughter, Stephanie Malick; grandchildren, Robert and Olivia Malick; one sister, Betty Ruth Kody and husband John Allen. Plus a host of loving extended family members.
Eugene spent 22 years at Rigaku Analytical Equipment Corporation as a field engineer. He was highly respected and recognized as a very kind and loving person. During his life, he was also known as a strong man of faith. Eugene was a member of the Church of Christ from an early age. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston. In his private life, he was known as a man who would not quit on anything or anyone.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle Eugene will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
