Jimmie Ruth Jones, 78, of Cypress Texas peacefully left us to join the Lord on November 8, 2018. Her life began on March 28, 1940 being born to Mattie Ruth Lane and James Nichols to be raised by Mattie Ruth and James Norman Patterson (adopted father).

Our mother dedicated her life to her 3 children (Norma, Claude and James), being the best daughter she could be to James Norman Patterson , and running a business known at P & C Texaco together. Later in life the business closed then worked for Harris County Oil Company until retirement.

Jimmie Ruth is preceded in death by her son, Claude Darryl Cox, survived by son James, his wife Tracie, their children, Ashlyn and Justin, Norma Lahrmann, daughter and her husband Mark, Claude’s wife Kristy her son Nelson and Claude’s daughter Cassidy and many other loving friends and relatives.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel located at 1101 Antoine. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., services to begin at 11 a.m. with graveside burial at Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
