Lucille Akin Lee (Born Kathryn Lucille Akin, July 24 1935) to the late Kathryn Baker Akin and Aubrey Leon Akin, left this life on October 28, 2018 at home in Houston TX. Lucy graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene
Lucy Akin had three brothers, all have now gone onto their rest, Baker Akin, Major Aubrey L Akin Jr., and Robert George Akin.
Lucy and Larry Lee were married in Houston TX December 22, 1954, and moved to College Station where Larry Graduated from Texas A & M. Lucy had put her career on hold to raise a family, but went back to school to attend Texas University Dental Branch in their Dental Hygiene program, being awarded a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She practiced in Houston TX for nearly four decades, starting with her Father Dr. Aubrey L Akin DDS.
Lucy and Larry Lee had two sons, Aubrey Ashton Lee, 1957-1982, and Lindsey Dwayne Lee, wife Heide, and children Michael, Andrew, Edward and Benjamin.
Lucy Lee enjoyed playing many different musical instruments, taught all of the grandkids and numerous others to play Piano and other instruments. Most recently she performed with Strings & Things, a Semi Professional musical group specializing in traditional folk music, where she played Violin, Mandolin, Several Ukulele’s, Banjo and others.
