Jeanette Harper Bello, 74, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Austin. A visitation with family and friends is planned for Monday, September 17, 2018 from three o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow the next day, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at eleven o’clock in the morning also at Woodlawn. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Bello is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Danny; two sisters, Claudette and Paulette; one brother, Albert; her granddaughter, Mandy Jeanette and grandson, Daniel Mac.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Elizabeth Sharp and husband, Todd; Kathy Saylor; Michele Reed and Caesar Jaramillo; Michael Reed and wife, Kimberley; Brandy Harris and husband, Vernon; and Angela Bello and Bryan Laitkep; sisters, Annette Kessler and husband, James; and Lynette Zachary and Donette Black. Jeanette also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition, Mrs. Bello leaves behind many loving extended family members.
Jeanette Bello was an incredible lady full of love for her family. Her fondest times were Sunday dinners with the family and family barbecues. Family members boast that her meatloaf was legendary.
She told wonderful stories of her youth and attending Rice football games with her father. Moreover, she was an ardent supporter of the Houston Texans. Jeanette spent many years working for the Teamsters’ Union Local 988 prior to retiring to their dream life in the Hill Country. Her heart was larger than life and she was always supporting charitable organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Hospital for children. Jeanette possessed a tremendous love for animals, especially her dogs, Buddy and Chloe.
Jeanette Bonnie Harper Bello (NANA) will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
Deacon Dan O’Dowd of St. Jerome Catholic Church will officiate the services. Pallbearers include: Vernon Harris, Bryan Laitkep, Caesar Jaramillo, Robert Michell, Dany Mastalez and Tommy Brogden.
