Thelma “Lois” Shaw, beloved mother and grandmother entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at her home in Houston, Texas. Lois was born on July 24, 1931 to Joe and Ona Milhoan in Wildorado, Texas. She was united as one with Derrel Shaw on August 10, 1949, a happy union which lasted 65 years until his passing in October 2014. Derrel was a minister for the Church of Christ for over 60 years. Lois stood by his side faithfully and helped him greatly in his work. She also worked for a number of years as a legal secretary. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Lois leaves in God’s most capable care, her son, David Shaw and wife Ruth; and three grandsons, Daniel Shaw, Ryan Shaw and wife Madeleine, Justin Shaw and wife Kelly; other extended family, and her brothers and sisters of her church family of the Cy-Fair Church of Christ. Lois was predeceased by her son Byron Shaw and daughter-in-law Carol Shaw.
A graveside celebration of Lois’ life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at ten o’clock in the morning at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, where she will await the resurrection and the happy reunification of all her family and loved ones.
