He is a 1952 graduate of Texas A&M University and dearly loved the Aggies and his school. He had a passion for playing cards, especially Bridge and Poker. And he thoroughly enjoyed traveling, taking many cruises over the years.

Arlen also gave back to his community. He volunteered for 11-years at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and was awarded a plaque for over 1500 hours of dedicated service. He was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church and served proudly in their Methodist Men’s group.

Mr. Reese is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Janene; his parents, William and Johnnie Reese; two brothers Bill and Robert Reese. Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Arlen Reese Jr., Jeff Reese and wife Susie, Russell Reese and wife Tanya, and Roger Reese and wife Jamie; one daughter, Denise Chelf and her husband William; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah, Mike, Arlen III, Mark, Josiah, Kirk, Bethany, Kirsti, Kayla, Karlee, Cody, Jarod and Tyler; four great grandchildren and a host of extended family and good friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Lakewood United Methodist Church.
