Howard William Townsend, 88, of Houston, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2018 surrounded by his family. Howard served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of South Main Baptist Church for many years.

Howard is reunited with his loving wife of 58 years, Julia Frances Roberts Townsend. He is survived by his son, Glenn Townsend and wife Gail; daughter, Beverly Townsend Motsinger and husband Scott; four grandchildren, Allyson Townsend Seago and husband Jared, Blake Townsend, Zach Motsinger and Mitch Motsinger and one great-grandchild, Jonah Seago.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:30 pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, 77055. Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the Woodlawn Garden of Memories. Following the burial, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at South Main Baptist Church, 4100 S. Main St., Houston, 77002
