John H. Fry Jr., born July 4, 1942 in Houston, TX, passed away on March 18, 2018. He is preceded in death by parents Irma and Barney Smith, and brother Harmon Louis Fry. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kay Fry; brother Michael Allen Fry; daughter Patricia Sills & husband Mike; daughter Polly Fry Leisure; son Gip Fry & wife Carrie; son John H. Fry III & wife Bridget; grandchildren Michael Shane, Christen, Gip, Joey, Ryan, Abby, Lindsey, Austin, Camden, Rick, Anna, Makenzi, Kade, Sara, and John H. Fry IV; great-grandchildren Sophia, Ariel, Zane, Lily, Grace, Jonathan, and Annistyn Ryan. John graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Law, and retired from law enforcement with over 35 years of service. He was a 32rd degree Mason, and volunteer for the Red Cross and Jacinto City Fire Department. He will be dearly missed by all who love him. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm, and the funeral at 2:00 pm.
