Obituary for Darlene Melba Fisher

Darlene Fisher was welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 15, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born April 19, 1936 in Groesbeck, TX. Darlene was married to J.D. Fisher for 55 years and was widowed in 2008. Darlene is survived by her daughter Kim Fisher of Cypress, TX, her son Kelly Fisher and wife Dayna of Kingwood, TX, and brother Joel Pelham and wife Jackie of The Woodlands, TX. She was reunited in heaven with her youngest son Kevin Fisher. Darlene had four grandchildren, Kody Fisher, Kyle Fisher, Morgan Bocca and Kendall Fisher who were all the prides of her life, along with several nephews and nieces. She was an active member at Living Stones Church in Magnolia, TX where she volunteered regularly. In addition, she volunteered twice per week at North Cypress Medical Center for over 10 years. Darlene has many close friends that she considers family. Darlene is best remembered for her love and dedication to her family, her quiet strength, her strong faith in the Lord and her commitment to volunteering and helping others. She was a source of unconditional love and support for her children and grandchildren. Darlene is often described as an angel on this earth.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A funeral celebrating her life will be Friday, October 20th at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 1101 Antoine, Houston, TX 77055
