Loraine Rosenbush Gilley was born on June 8, 1925 in Galveston, Texas to her parents Herbert and Lillian Rosenbush and passed away on June 25, 2017. She graduated from Lamar High School in Houston and went on to attend the Southwestern University in Georgetown. After a year in Georgetown, she transferred to the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a degree in journalism. Loraine was a loyal and active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and attended many state and national Alpha Delta Pi conventions. She had been a dedicated member of the Houston Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association for 65 years. Loraine enjoyed her garden club and won many awards for her flower arrangements. Loraine also loved to play bridge and go to lunch with her Alpha Delta Pi friends as well as her friends from Lamar High School. Loraine is preceded in death by her parents and her son Herbert F. Gilley. She is survived by her husband Allen L. Gilley Jr. of 68 years, son Allen L. Gilley III, Harold Gilley and his wife Dolores and granddaughter Yolanda Hennings.
